PESHAWAR: Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Ihtisham Ali on Thursday inaugurated transplant and implant services at MTI Hayatabad Medical Complex under the new “Transplant and Implant” Sehat Card Scheme.

During a special ceremony, an official communique said two successful kidney transplants were performed, and children received cochlear implants restoring their hearing ability. Hospital Director Dr Faisal Shehzad briefed the health advisor on the services provided.

Speaking to the media, Ihtisham Ali said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s vision prioritised accessible and quality healthcare. “This scheme is a lifeline for the common man,” he remarked.

Ihtisham Ali visited post-operative transplant patients who expressed gratitude to the chief minister. Children with hearing impairments experienced sounds for the first time after receiving implants, marking a new beginning in their lives.
