From recession to war

Iran’s decision to opt for negations instead of military confrontation with the US is a sensible option. The latter, under the eccentric President Donald Trump, appears to be looking for any excuse to attack Iran. The world has suffered immensely due to Trump’s regressive tariff policies and even the US’ own stock exchange has tumbled by around $2 trillion.
Trump probably never thought that his ‘America first’ policies would drag the US towards a 1930s-style recession. During his election campaign he promised voters more jobs and lower inflation. Now that his domestic agenda is falling apart, he seems to be turning towards foreign aggression in order to shore up support.
