Survey for widows and ration cards across Rawalpindi starts today
Rawalpindi:Commissioner Rawalpindi, Engineer Amir Khattak, announced that a comprehensive survey will be conducted across Rawalpindi and the rest of Punjab for the issuance of widow and ration cards. Starting today, teams from the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) will carry out the survey in phases throughout the province.
Residents of each area will be informed in advance before the survey teams arrive. Commissioner Khattak urged citizens to cooperate with the PSER teams to ensure the success of this important welfare initiative by the Punjab government. He emphasized that the aim is to ensure that the benefits of these social support programs reach all deserving individuals.
He shared these remarks during a meeting held at the Commissioner’s Office in Rawalpindi yesterday. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema, Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Nazarat Ali, Director of Social Welfare Shahid Rana, and heads of other relevant departments. Deputy Commissioners of Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Murree also joined the meeting via video link. Engineer Amir Khattak further encouraged all eligible citizens to register with the PSER to qualify for the ongoing social welfare programs initiated by the Punjab government.
