Factory worker shot dead resisting mugging bid
A man was shot dead allegedly during a robbery attempt in the Wazir Goth area near the Super Highway on Tuesday. According to police, the victim was identified as Ghani, a resident of Dunba Goth, who worked at a motorcycle parts factory. His body was shifted to a hospital for legal formalities.
Quoting initial investigations, police said the incident took place when suspects attempted to snatch Ghani’s recently purchased motorcycle. According to the victim’s family, Ghani tried to flee after removing the key from the motorcycle to prevent the robbers from taking it.
In response, the assailants opened fire on him and fled. The police said an investigation was underway and efforts were being made to trace the suspects. No case was registered until the filing of this report.
