Police checkpoint attacked in Bannu

BANNU: Unidentified armed assailants attacked the Dary Pul police checkpoint in the jurisdiction of Ghoriwala Police Station, Bannu, early Tuesday.

According to sources, the incident occurred during the night at the Dary Pul checkpoint located on the Kaki-Norang Road, which falls under Ghoriwala Police Station. The attackers opened fire under the cover of darkness, prompting retaliatory fire from the police. The assailants managed to flee the scene. No loss was reported during the exchange of fire.
