Project launched in Khyber to build 50 schools
JAMRUD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched an educational project in Khyber district with assistance from China.
The project involves the construction of 50 new schools, including 35 primary schools, seven middle schools, seven high schools, and one senior high school.The schools are equipped with modern facilities such as solar power systems, clean drinking water, electric coolers, and restrooms.
As of now, the Communication and Works Department has completed 30 schools, 13 of which have already been handed over to the Education Department. These are not just buildings; they are vital institutions that will nurture the next generation.
The total investment in the project stands at Rs 3.21 billion.A school teacher, Gulbar Khan of Govt Primary School Zarmat Jan Killay, said, “We are grateful to the Chinese government and the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for building a proper school for us”.
