World Book, Copyright Day observed
LAHORE: Punjab University Library and Institute of Information Management (IIM) jointly organised an awareness walk and seminar to mark World Book and Copyright Day here on Monday.
The day began with an awareness walk from the Institute of Information Management to Al Raazi Hall, symbolising the enduring journey of knowledge and learning. Besides PU officials, Secretary Archives & Libraries Wing Muhammad Khan Ranjha, Director IIM Prof Dr Shafiq ur Rehman, Chief Librarian Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani, faculty members, librarians and students were present.
Muhammad Khan Ranjha praised the efforts of PU Library and IIM in promoting book culture. He also shared various initiatives undertaken by his office for the advancement of archives and libraries across Punjab. Dr Shafiq ur Rehman said that IIM and the library have always taken the lead in promoting the culture of reading and the intellectual value of books in PU.
