‘Expats assured of deciding pending cases in three months’
LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured that the courts established for overseas Pakistanis will decide their cases within three months.
These views were expressed in a statement issued by Pakistani-origin Paris-based fashion designer Mahmood Bhatti here on Monday. Mahmood Bhatti said that at the Overseas Convention, he raised the issue before the prime minister that he had bought land for orphans, which was seized and the case has been going on in a court for four years.
The lawyers in the court pulled and pushed his hair. If this is to happen with overseas, then there may be difficulty in investing from foreign countries. On this, the PM assured that he is keeping a close eye on overseas matters and he will issue further instructions. Mahmood Bhatti said that if overseas were provided with facilities, they can bring big investments in Pakistan.
