Ajoka to pay tribute to Madeeha
LAHORE : Ajoka will be marking the 7th death anniversary of its founder and theatre icon Madeeha Gauhar with a specially designed programme at Alhamra.
Dramatic Readings of Madeeha's writing will be presented by Fizza Jamal, Arzoo Ali Gauhar, Kanwal Khan, Arsalan Nasir Naseem Abbas. Madeeha's family will share memories including Shahid Nadeem, Feryal Gauhar, Nirvaan Nadeem, Sarang Nadeem and Neha Ali Gauhar.
Speakers will include Perin Boga, Prof Sajida Vandal, Prof Shaista Sirajeddin, Dr Sughra Sadaf, Farrukh Goindi and Prof Ahmad Bilal. Tribute with music and dance will be presented by Naseem Abbas, Anika Malik and Luke Kelvin. An interesting segment of the programme will be a special violin performance by famous violinist and composer M Aslam along with his talented seven-year grandson who will be performing in public for the first time.
