PHC acting CJ vows to facilitate lawyers, litigants
PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) acting Chief Justice SM Atique Shah on Friday said that providing better facilities to lawyers and litigants was their top priority.
He stated that various amenities had been introduced within the premises of the PHC to ensure a more conducive environment for legal proceedings.He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Lawyers Welfare Composing and Photostat Centre.
On the occasion, the official website of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) was also launched. PHC Registrar Administration Mumraiz Khan Khalil, other judicial officers, Peshawar High Court Bar Association President Fida Gul, General Secretary Ijaz Ali Shah, senior lawyer Alam Khan and other members of the legal fraternity were present.
PHCBA President briefed the acting chief justice on the newly established centre and the website.Chief Justice Atique Shah appreciated the timely completion of the centre and commended the efforts of the bar association and its office-bearers.
Later, the chief justice visited various bar rooms and reviewed ongoing development projects. He reiterated that ensuring top-notch facilities for lawyers and litigants remains one of his foremost goals.
