As per the complaint filed by the victim's father, Faizan and his three accomplices allegedly abducted his daughter at gunpoint, forced her to consume an intoxicating substance, and then raped her at an unknown location. The victim returned home around 9pm via an online taxi service and narrated the incident to her father.
The police registered an FIR (No 220/25) under Sections 376 (rape), 342 (wrongful confinement), and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code. Raids were being conducted to apprehend the suspects. Further investigations are underway.
Rape murder
The funeral prayer of a seven-year-old girl who was abducted from Sikandar Goth, subjected to sexual assault and later found dead in a nullah was offered on Thursday.
A large number of people, including the victim’s family and local residents attended the funeral. On this occasion, the mourners strongly protested against the tragic incident and appealed to the authorities for justice.
The minor girl was kidnapped on Tuesday within the limits of Sachhal Police Station on April 15. Following her disappearance, her family had registered a kidnapping case against unknown suspects. However, the girl’s body was recovered from the Gujjar nullah in Liaquatabad area on Wednesday. Speaking to the media, Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said the initial physical examination showed signs of sexual assault. Various samples were collected from the victim’s body and sent to the laboratory for forensic analysis. Further details are expected following the release of the chemical examination reports.
The police surgeon also confirmed that the postmortem revealed evidence of severe sexual violence. The victim was laid to rest in the Janjal Goth graveyard in Sohrab Goth amidst an atmosphere of grief and mourning. The incident sparked protests by the victim’s family and local residents during her burial.
The victim’s family stated that her hands and feet were tied when her body was recovered, suggesting that the perpetrators had subjected her to sexual assault before killing her and dumped the body far from her home in Liaquatabad. According to Sachhal SHO Aurangzeb Khattak, CCTV footage collected from the area was being thoroughly reviewed.
