9th grade student caught solving paper in car
LAHORE:Punjab Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, visited various examination centres on Raiwind Road to inspect the ongoing 9th-grade examinations and overall arrangements.
During the inspection, acting on a tip-off, the minister caught a student red-handed while cheating at Government Boys High School, Ali Raza Abad. According to the minster's PRO, the student was found solving his paper while seated in a car on the examination centre premises. Investigations revealed that the centre’s staff and principal were actively involved in facilitating the cheating. The minister disclosed that the candidate was the son of PSO to the owner of a private housing society, and that the vehicle would regularly enter the centre to assist him in solving paper through unfair means.
Following the incident, the minister ordered the immediate arrest and removal of the entire centre staff, including the principal. An FIR was registered. He directed departmental action under the PEEDA Act and ordered the dismissal of those involved. In recognition of the teacher who provided the tip-off, Rana Sikandar Hayat announced a reward of four basic salary bonuses and a certificate of appreciation. The minister reiterated a policy of zero-tolerance against cheating mafias, stating that no student will be allowed to unfairly deprive others of their right, regardless of their background or influence.
