Parliamentary delegation visits advanced water management facility
Islamabad:The International Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference, comprising former and current parliamentary speakers from 36 countries, including Cambodia and Colombia, visited a demonstration site showcasing cutting-edge innovations in water management technology, says a press release.
According to the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) on April 15, a 12-member delegation from the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference - including former Pakistani Prime Minister and current Senate Speaker Yousuf Raza Gillani - toured the Water Comprehensive Situation Room at the Hangang River Basin Headquarters in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, on April 11.
The visit aimed to observe Korea’s advanced water management systems and explore opportunities for international cooperation in addressing global water challenges, particularly those intensified by the ongoing climate crisis.
