HEMS trade show set to draw record international participation: TDAP
KARACHI: Anticipation is building for the fourth edition of the Health, Engineering, and Minerals Show (HEMS), slated to be Pakistan’s premier trade exhibition of the year, read a statement on Wednesday. Organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, HEMS 2025 will take place from April 17 to 19 at the Expo Centre in Lahore.
The event is expected to host over 194 exhibitors and more than 900 international delegates from 70 countries, marking a significant increase in global participation. HEMS 2025 aims to foster international collaboration, investment and business development across the healthcare, engineering and minerals sectors. This year’s show will feature a wide array of industries, including pharmaceuticals, surgical instruments, automotive parts, cutlery, sports goods, furniture, chemicals, light engineering, and minerals. A key new addition is the expanded Mineral Investment Pavilion, designed to facilitate direct engagement between investors, policymakers and mining experts.
HEMS 2025 will also introduce a dedicated gems and jewellery segment, including an exclusive fashion showcase on April 17 at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore. This event will highlight Pakistan’s gemstone heritage and artisanal talent, featuring collaborations between jewellery and fashion designers. While a standalone event, the Gems and Jewellery Show is integrated into the broader HEMS 2025 program, aiming to boost Pakistan’s profile in the global luxury goods market and create new export opportunities.
Other new features for 2025 include interactive business-to-business (B2B) engagement zones, industrial site visits, and startup demonstrations. The event will also facilitate interactions with trade promotion organizations and regulatory authorities, alongside sessions on emerging trends in engineering and allied industries. HEMS 2025 is targeting brand developers, traders, sourcing agents, e-commerce platforms, healthcare and engineering product distributors, trade promotion organisations and government regulators. The event’s structured B2B matchmaking framework aims to foster long-term business partnerships.
The previous edition of HEMS in 2024 attracted over 650 international buyers from nearly 60 countries, resulting in numerous memorandums of understanding and direct business agreements. TDAP anticipates even greater international participation in 2025, supported by its Missions Abroad.
TDAP has launched a dedicated portal, [https://hems[dot]tdap[dot]gov[dot]pk] (https://hems[dot]tdap[dot]gov[dot]pk), providing event details and resources for international delegates. HEMS 2025 is positioned as a platform to showcase Pakistan’s industrial capabilities, encourage strategic partnerships and drive innovation in global commerce, the statement added.
