Court approves Imran’s petitions on telephonic contact with sons, medical examination
Usman Riaz Gul and Zaheer Abbas appeared in the court on behalf of the PTI founder
ISLAMABAD: The court of Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand on Tuesday approved Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s petitions regarding his weekly telephone contact with his sons and his medical examination, and sought an implementation report on April 28.
Usman Riaz Gul and Zaheer Abbas appeared in the court on behalf of the PTI founder. They argued that the court had earlier issued an order regarding a medical check-up to be done by a personal physician in the presence of jail doctors.
They noted that the Islamabad High Court had constituted a medical board, and in light of its order, the check-up had already been done. They requested that the petitioner should be examined monthly by personal physician.
After hearing the arguments, the court reserved its decision and later approved both various petitions. It sought an implementation report on the order and adjourned the hearing until April 28.
