Demo condemns killing of 8 labourers
Lashari said when bodies arrived in Saraiki Waseb, the government did not take notice
MULTAN: Saraiki nationalists on Monday staged a demonstration and condemned the Baloch Liberation Army for killing eight labourers from Bahawalpur.
The activists of Pakistan Saraiki Party, Saraikistan Qaumi Ittehad and PSP Kissan Wing staged a protest at Chowk Dera Adda here and lambasted the BLA for killing innocent and poor workers. SQT leader Sharif Khan Lashari said when bodies arrived in Saraiki Waseb, the government did not take notice. Earlier, the bodies were received by their relatives.
Sharif said if there had been an industry in Saraiki Waseb, local people would not have gone out for work. He demanded that the government form a committee in this matter. PSP Secretary General Javed Hussein Channar said the massacre of workers from Saraiki Waseb in Iran was terrible. He said that earlier workers from Saraiki Waseb were massacred in Balochistan, KP and Karachi. He asked the Pakistani government to terminate diplomatic relations with Iran. Other Saraiki nationalists who spoke included Haji Zafar Mohana, Azam Khokhar, Hashim Mohana, Ghafoor Awan, Shaukat Awan and Malik Akhtar Matla.
