Press club in Upper Chitral inaugurated
CHITRAL: The press club in Upper Chitral was formally inaugurated in Booni, the headquarters of the district, on Saturday.Deputy Commissioner, Upper Chitral, Haseebur Rehman Khalil was the chief guest of the event which was attended by notable figures from the district. Tehsil Council Mastuj Chairman Sardar Hakeem presided over the event.
Addressing the gathering, founding president of the press club, Muhammad Ali Mujahid, expressed his commitment to using the platform to spotlight local issues and promote opportunities in the region to a broader audience. He extended his gratitude to all attendees and acknowledged the efforts of Deputy Speaker Suraya Bibi for her pivotal role in the establishment of the club.
He also appreciated the support provided by DC Upper Chitral, journalists based journalists and officials from the Information Department for their cooperation. President of the Ismaili Council for Upper Chitral, Imtiaz Alam, also addressed the event and described the establishment of the press club as a positive development for the area.
