LAHORE:On the direction of the SHC&ME Secretary Azmat Mahmood, the King Edward Medical University, conducted the 23rd JCAT examination on Sunday.
Vice Chancellor KEMU Prof Mahmood Ayaz, along with Controller Examination KEMU & CEO Mayo Hospital Prof Haroon Hamid visited the examination halls at Punjab University examination centre. This exam is held for the induction of postgraduate trainees of all the public sector institutions of Punjab.
Considering the convenience and number of candidates from South Punjab, the exam was held simultaneously at Lahore and Multan centres as instructed by the Punjab government. The exam was held in the 11 halls at the Lahore centre and seven halls at the Multan centre. There were a total of 2,771 candidates registered for Lahore and Multan centres, including 106 foreign candidates.
The Vice Chancellor of KEMU Prof Mahmood Ayaz visited the examination centre and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.The Controller of Examinations KEMU Prof Haroon Hamid remained present at the Lahore centre and closely supervised the Multan centre along with VC, NMU Prof Mehnaz Khakwani, Principal Nishter Medical College Prof Rashid Qamar.
