Rickshaw driver injured in clash with traffic official

LAHORE:A clash between a traffic warden and a rickshaw driver at Niazi Ada escalated when the warden allegedly struck the driver with his helmet, injuring him.

According to police, the altercation began when the warden stopped the rickshaw driver for a violation and began issuing a challan. The driver allegedly misbehaved, prompting the warden to react by hitting him. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured driver to Ganga Ram Hospital, where he was reported to be out of danger. Police said the incident was under investigation and the facts would be revealed after a thorough inquiry.

Five injured in two groups’ firing

Five individuals, including two passersby, were injured in a gunfight between two rival groups in the Manga Mandi area.

According to officials, the clash erupted due to a long-standing grudge between the parties. Both sides exchanged heavy gunfire, resulting in injuries to five individuals who were rushed to hospital.

Manga Mandi police arrested five suspects involved in the incident—identified as Manzoor, Sunil, Nabil, Waseem, and Riaz and recovered daggers, rifles, pistols, and ammunition from their possession. A case was registered against them.
