Pakistan have been in scintillating form, starting their campaign with two dominant victories against Ireland and Scotland. Fatima Sana’s side has excelled in all departments, displaying impressive teamwork and determination. The skipper will look to maintain their unbeaten streak with another solid performance against the experienced West Indies.
In their last outing, Aliya Riaz and Muneeba Ali delivered stellar performances to ensure a comfortable win over Scotland. She was well supported by Aliya Riaz, who scored an unbeaten 68 off 70 balls, steering the team home with composure.
Captain Fatima Sana has been a standout performer with the ball, picking up 4 for 23 in just five overs against Scotland. Alongside her, the likes of Diana Baig, Nashra Sandhu, and Rameen Shamim have formed a potent bowling attack capable of dismantling opposition lineups.
West Indies come into this match on the back of a hard-fought victory over Ireland. Despite their success, the team has yet to showcase their full potential in the tournament and will need to elevate their game to overcome a confident Pakistan side.
In their rain-affected encounter, Chinelle Henry played a crucial role with an unbeaten 46 off 36 balls, while seasoned campaigners Stafanie Taylor (46 off 56) and Zaida James (36 off 54) contributed vital runs. Skipper Hayley Matthews also chipped in with a brisk 23 off 18 balls.
The West Indies bowling attack, led by Hayley Matthews, was instrumental in defending their total. Matthews claimed 4 for 24 in 6.2 overs, supported by Karishma Ramharack and Aaliyah Alleyne, who picked up two wickets apiece. Their ability to strike at crucial moments will be key against Pakistan’s in-form batting lineup.
