PTI rally in Swabi seeks early release of Imran
SWABI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday held a rally to condemn an alleged drone attack in Katlang area in Mardan and demand the release of the party founder.
Led by Asad Qaiser, former speaker of national assembly and other parliamentarians, the workers belonging to different areas arrived at Karnel Sher Khan Chowk at the district headquarters from different regions.
The chowk is situated at the junction point and during the protest the various roads have remained closed for traffic due to which the commuters faced various problems.
Addressing the rally, Asad Qaiser said that there was no justice as innocent people were targeted and killed in the Mardan drone strike. In fact, he said, it was inefficiency and utter failure of the government and they wanted to know why it happened and who was responsible for it.
“And we want to clear it to the government that the party founder Imran Khan should no longer be kept in jail in cases in which he was never involved,” he added. The other PTI leaders also demanded immediate release of Imran Khan.
