Feasibility report sent to govt

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Commissioner Muhammad Yasrib has said that the chief minister has approved the wind energy power project at Rojhan.
Talking to newsmen after chairing a meeting in his office here on Wednesday, he said that the CM had also approved setting up of Danish schools in Taunsa Sharif and Layyah. He said that construction of dual carriageway from Muzaffargarh to Dera Ghazi Khan would begin during the ongoing month while the NHA would start construction of 32km dual carriageway from Rakhi Gaaj to Bewata inter-provincial check post on Multan-Loralai Highway. The commissioner said that feasibility report for establishment of the Maari Development Authority for uplift of the remote and backward hilly resort had been dispatched to the provincial government.
He said that a new water supply scheme had been made functional that would serve the tourists from June 30 at Fort Munro. He said that the provincial government had allocated budget for construction of mini dams under the command area of hill torrents to irrigate the vast barren land and to avoid the losses. Earlier, the commissioner chaired a meeting which was attended by Rajanpur DCO Chaudhry Zahoor Hussain Gujjar, Layyah DCO Syed Wajid Ali Shah, Director Development Anum Hafeez, Shafaqat Hussain, Sheikh Fazal Kareem, EDO Finance Sarfraz Ahmad, Deputy Director Technical Taj Muhammad Buzdar and other officers.
