Imran’s instructions on intra-party differences fall on deaf ears
CM's advisor on information says that secretary minerals will brief assembly members on bill on Monday
PESHAWAR: Despite the directives of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan, intra-party differences persist with the exchange of accusations in the party’s WhatsApp groups.
The latest incident occurred over the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill 2025. According to sources, a heated exchange took place between Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Atif Khan in the party’s WhatsApp group about the bill.
Atif Khan opposed the bill in the PTI parliamentarians’ WhatsApp group, stating that the bill was not in the interest of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In response, Ali Amin reacted strongly and asked Atif Khan, “Have you read the bill? If you don’t understand English, I will send you the Urdu copy as well. There is no issue with the Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill; the issue is your personal grudge towards me.”
Sources said Atif Khan did not respond to Ali Amin Gandapur, after which the matter ended.
The chief minister’s advisor on information told this correspondent that the secretary minerals will brief the assembly members on the bill on Monday.
