Hashish seized in Bara

BARA: The police seized hashish and arrested an alleged smuggler in the Bara tehsil of the Khyber district on Sunday, official sources said.

The police personnel, under the supervision of Station House Officer Milward Millat Khan

and Additional SHO Maghrib Khan, stopped a car in the Akakhel area and recovered about 24 kg of hashish from a secret compartment.

The police arrested the accused, identified as Qasim Khan, son of Sabeel Khan, a resident of Zakhakhel Bazaar and shifted him to Bara lockup for further investigation.District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal appreciated the successful operation and said that the crackdown against drug dealers would continue. He said the Khyber police was using all resources to save the young generation from the scourge of drugs.
