NAVTTC explores collaboration with Chinese institute

Islamabad:In continuation of the ongoing engagements between the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and CIIC International Education Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd. that is in line with the directives of the Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, a high-level delegation from CIIC visited the NAVTTC headquarters in Islamabad.

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister himself. Executive Director NAVTTC, Aamir Jan, welcomed the delegation and presented a comprehensive overview of NAVTTC’s mandate, flagship initiatives, and significant achievements in Pakistan’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) landscape.

Wang Kang, Chairman of CIIC Technology Group Co., Ltd. shared that this visit marks the organization’s first to Pakistan since its establishment in 1987. He highlighted CIIC’s global standing among the top 10 companies in the skills development sector and expressed strong interest in partnering with NAVTTC.

He also announced the group’s intention to establish training institutes in collaboration with NAVTTC to develop a critically needed workforce for Chinese companies operating in Pakistan and overseas.

The proposed initiative aims to train 10,000 Pakistani youth in high-demand sectors such as power, minerals, and nuclear energy. In the pilot phase of the partnership, first training institute will be launched in Karachi as it is the industrial hub of the country. Expressing their appreciation for the opportunity, the delegation assured that the valuable feedback and guidance provided by the Honourable Federal Minister would be incorporated into their strategic plans.
