Encroached upon

A number of fruit vendors have unlawfully encroached upon the main road along the wall of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), located beside the Matric Board Office in Karachi. This has led to frequent traffic congestion, creating immense difficulties for commuters and raising the risk of accidents due to blocked roads and lack of emergency access. The problem is further aggravated by the proximity of the Matric Board Office, which receives a large number of visitors daily, including students, parents and education professionals. The obstruction caused

by these vendors disrupts the regular functioning of the board office and makes access extremely difficult for all concerned.

Individuals visiting the NBP for financial transactions often feel unsafe due to the crowd, as it provides cover for potential criminal elements. There is growing concern that such gatherings are being exploited by criminals to conduct surveillance and execute robberies, putting innocent lives at risk. I sincerely urge the relevant authorities to take immediate and decisive action. The encroachments must be removed, and a permanent solution enforced to restore traffic flow and ensure the safety and convenience of the people.
