ISLAMABAD: Another case of bench change has come to light in the Islamabad High Court. The larger bench hearing cases against quota recruitments from other provinces in local departments of Islamabad has been changed.

The three-member larger bench, headed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, was suddenly changed and a new larger bench, headed by Acting Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar, was formed by including two judges transferred from the high courts of other provinces.

A three-member larger bench, headed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and comprising Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq, was hearing a case against quota recruitments from other provinces in local departments of Islamabad.

The larger bench had held its last hearing on March 6 and adjourned the case till April 10. However, according to the Islamabad High Court website, a new larger bench has now been formed to hear the case, which includes two judges transferred from other provincial high courts. The new larger bench has been constituted under Acting Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar, who was transferred from the Lahore High Court, and includes Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, who was transferred from the Sindh High Court, and Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas.
