RAWALPINDI: The Special Court of Anti-Terrorism, Rawalpindi, has adjourned the hearing of the GHQ attack case against the former PTI chairman and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other accused until April 12.

The hearing was adjourned due to the non-appearance of two prosecution witnesses and some of the accused. The next hearing will be held in Adiala Jail, for which the court has also issued notices to the prosecution witnesses.

During the hearing Wednesday, former provincial minister Muhammad Basharat Raja and Major (Retd) Tahir Sadiq, along with other accused, appeared in the court. A panel comprising Muhammad Faisal Malik Irfanullah Niazi, Sardar Shahbaz Advocate, and other lawyers was also present to represent the accused, while Zaheer Shah appeared on behalf of the prosecution. However, due to the absence of two key prosecution witnesses and the accused, the hearing was adjourned without any action.

On a future date, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other accused were sent to Adiala Jail. It should be noted that the statements of 25 prosecution witnesses have been recorded so far in this case.
