UHS first-ever academia, industry expo in July
LAHORE:The 42nd meeting of the Academic and Administrative Advisory Committee of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) was held on Tuesday at the Jinnah Campus under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore.
During the meeting, approval was granted for the university’s first-ever Academia-Industry Expo, scheduled to take place in July this year. Undergraduate and postgraduate students will showcase their research projects, while representatives from various industries will be invited to explore collaborative opportunities. Cash prizes will be awarded to students presenting the most outstanding projects.
To enhance academic engagement, the committee also approved the revival of UHS Grand Rounds—sessions dedicated to discussions on clinical cases, new research, and recent scientific breakthroughs.
Youth empowerment initiative opens
The inaugural ceremony of the ‘Youth Engagement and Empowerment Initiative (YEEI)’ project was held at the main Township campus of the University of Education (UoE) in collaboration with the University of Warwick (UK) here Tuesday. The event was presided over by the UoE Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aqif Anwar while Vice Chancellor Beaconhouse National University Dr Moeed Yousaf was the chief guest.
