A wave of violence struck Karachi on Monday as multiple shooting incidents were reported across the city, leaving one man dead and three others injured.
An incident occurred near a private bank in Chishti Nagar Goth, Block 10, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, where two men were shot. The victims, 30-year-old Rashid, son of Ismail, and 25-year-old Shahid, son of Allah Ditta, were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. However, Shahid succumbed to his injuries.
According to SHO Pir Shabbir, the shooting appeared to be the result of a long-standing personal rivalry between two local groups. Following the attack, police detained several individuals for questioning. Tensions remained high in the neighbourhood, with the incident causing widespread panic.
In a separate shooting in Orangi Town Sector 11.5, near Bhashani Sweet Shop in Chishti Nagar, 22-year-old Azmatullah, son of Inayatullah, was shot and injured by unknown assailants. He was transported to the ASH, and police were investigating the motive behind the attack.
Another shooting incident occurred near Goli Mar Rexer Bridge, Soldier Bazaar, where armed robbers opened fire during a robbery, injuring 30-year-old Essa, son of Gulab. He was taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment.
