LAHORE: As preparations intensify for the much-anticipated tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL-10), Karachi Kings have made a series of bold moves to strengthen their setup—on and off the field.
In a major announcement, the franchise confirmed the appointment of former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait as their new bowling coach. Known for his fiery pace and aggressive bowling style during his playing days, Tait is expected to inject fresh energy and experience into the Karachi Kings’ pace battery.
Team owner Salman Iqbal expressed full confidence in the appointment, stating: “Shaun Tait’s aggressive bowling philosophy is in complete synergy with the Karachi Kings’ strategy. I am confident that under his coaching, our bowling lineup will prove to be even more formidable.”
Tait brings with him considerable coaching experience, having previously worked with the Afghanistan and Pakistan national teams in similar roles. His knowledge of local conditions and emerging fast bowlers is expected to play a crucial role in the Kings’ campaign this season.
Adding further momentum to the team’s preparations, Karachi Kings Head Coach Ravi Bopara and newly-appointed Bowling Coach Shaun Tait arrived in Karachi on Sunday. The two received a warm welcome upon landing and have now joined the team camp ahead of the season opener.
The team’s training session is scheduled to take place today at 5 PM at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre, where players will begin intense drills and strategic sessions under the supervision of the coaching panel.
Earlier this week, Karachi Kings also revealed their official kit for PSL 10, combining classic aesthetics with modern design. Created in collaboration with The Peace Club, the kit features an elegant blend of blue and red, representing the team’s bold and dynamic spirit.
