Brother of cleric shot dead in mosque

PESHAWAR: The brother of a local religious leader was murdered in a mosque in Sarband. Policw said Muhammad Zahid, son of Fazal Bari, was shot dead by unidentified armed men in a mosque in Sarband when he was reciting the Holy Quran.

It was learnt that he was the brother of a local leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. A couple of religious people have come under attack in Badaber and Sarband in the last few weeks.Meanwhile, a college student was shot dead in Mathra.Police said the victim was identified as Waqar from Hayatabad.
