CM urged to provide grants to 5 press clubs
TANK: Five press clubs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been deprived of Chief Minister’s Grant and representatives have urged Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to take immediate notice of the issue.
In September last year, the chief minister distributed grant cheques among presidents of over 50 press clubs across the province. However, five press clubs were excluded from the grant, initially on the grounds that their annual renewals were pending.
Interestingly, some of the excluded press clubs had completed their annual renewals but were still denied the grant. For the past seven months- from September 2024 to April 2025 — delegations from these deprived press clubs have submitted multiple written requests to the chief minister and have continuously visited his secretariat but to no avail.
