PESHAWAR: The management of Mardan Medical Complex and Benazir Bhutto Children Hospital (BBCH) on Friday provided healthcare services to 6,408 patients during the Eidul Fitr holidays.
According to an official communique, the hospital management had chalked out a comprehensive strategy to ensure uninterrupted provision of treatment services to the patients during the holidays.
It stated that MMC provided healthcare to 5,242 while BBCH tended to 1167 children during Eid holidays.According to the report, out of the total 5,241 patients, approached MMC, 441 patients were admitted to different departments for further diagnosis and treatment.
The report said that 3,068 people were brought to the hospital for complaints regarding stomach disorders, fever and other complaints. It further said that 354 people wounded in road misshapes were also provided medical services during Eid holidays.
Similarly, 28 major operations, 77 minor procedures and 76 dialysis sessions were also performed during the holidays.Likewise, 1,650 CT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays were done, and 4,047 different tests were conducted by the Pathology Department while a total of 42 babies were born in the hospital during the Eid holidays.Apart from this, the report said that special arrangements had been put in place to ensure free treatment facilities to the general public through the Sehat Card programme.
