Only 6.8pc of Multan people visited parks
MULTAN: The City of Saints, Multan, is having a population of five million. However, a surprisingly small proportion of this population visits recreational parks, which need upgradation and improvements to attract more visitors.
The 2023 population census indicates that the Multan district’s population stands at 5,362,305, with 2,499,871 (46.62%) residing in purely urban areas. The district comprises four tehsils: Multan City, Multan Sadar, Shujabad, and Jalalpur. Multan City Tehsil has a population of 2,555,486, while Multan Sadar Tehsil has 1,516,004 residents. The population of Shujabad Tehsil is 672,327. Notably, statistics from the Multan divisional administration reveal that only 6.8% of the population visited recreational parks during the Eid holidays.
