Saif asks Centre to provide genuine relief to masses
PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has criticized the economic policies of the federal government, stating that the leader who provided electricity at Rs15 per unit is behind bars, while those charging Rs40 per unit are living in luxury.
He added that Imran Khan’s so-called “crime” was providing petrol at Rs150 per liter, whereas the current government has increased its price to Rs300 per liter. The adviser questioned the government’s decision to offer only Rs07 relief, urging them to explain who was responsible for making essential commodities unaffordable for the public.
Barrister Saif pointed out that crude oil prices in the global market have dropped by another 7 percent, yet the benefit of this reduction is not being passed on to the public.According to global market trends, he stated that the price of petrol in Pakistan should be below Rs100 per liter. He criticized the federal government, calling it a “fake government,” and emphasized that instead of offering superficial relief, it should provide genuine relief to the people.
