KOHAT: A protest was staged on the Indus Highway in Kohat on Friday against the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
Protesters, comprising political, religious, and social organizations and other citizens carried placards. They demanded action against the BLA and all other organizations involved in the killing of innocent civilians. The Indus Highway remained blocked during the protest.
Addressing the protesters, speakers condemned the recent attack on the Jaffar Express, questioning the reason behind the killing of innocent passengers. They blamed the foreign intelligence agencies for deteriorating the situation in Balochistan, causing immense hardship for the common people.
The speakers alleged that the BLA is backed by India’s intelligence agency RAW. They pointed out that the BLA has already been declared a terrorist organization globally, including by countries like the United Kingdom and the United States.
The speakers accused the BLA of being involved in conspiracies against the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Pakistan’s development and spreading unrest and chaos across the country through terrorist activities.
