LAHORE:With the arrival of new wheat in the market, flour mills have reduced the retail price of a 20kg flour bag by Rs130, a 10kg flour bag by Rs65, an 80kg fine flour bag by Rs400 and a 50kg semolina bag by Rs500.
Lahore Flour Dealers Association President Haji Yousaf confirmed the reduction in the prices of 20kg and 10kg flour, 80kg fine flour bag and 50kg semolina bag. He said that the price of a 20kg flour bag has been reduced from Rs1,710 to Rs1,580, the price of a 10kg flour bag has been reduced from Rs855 to Rs790, the price of an 80kg fine flour bag has been reduced from Rs7,400 to Rs7,000 and the price of a 50kg semolina bag has been reduced from Rs4,800 to Rs4,300. He said currently the price of one maund of wheat in grain-producing areas is Rs2,300, while in Lahore the price of one maund of wheat is Rs2,600 to Rs2,700, against the official price Rs2,950 per maund.
