KOHAT: As many as 194 cadets passed out of the Police Training School here on Tuesday. Additional Inspector General of Police Tariq Javed was chief guest at the 65th passing out parade. Commandant of the Police Training School, Jameel Khan, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kohat Region, Akhtar Hayat Khan, District Police Officer, Sohaib Ashraf, and parents of the cadets were also present on the occasion.
The Addl IG distributed awards and certificates among the cadets for their performance during the training. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that despite severe threats to police force in the province more and more people were joining the force. He paid tributes to the cops for the numerous sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Eight gamblers arrested in Karak: The police claimed to have arrested eight gamblers and seized stake money from them here on Tuesday.DPO Mian Naseeb Jan said the police raided a hideout of the gamblers in the limits of Latambar Police Station and arrested eight gamblers. Police also recovered Rs2,28,670 stake money from them. The accused were identified as Resham, Farmanullah and Gul Badshah, Shamsur and Ayub, Asmatullah, Dildaraz and Sadiqullah.
