DERA ISMAIl KHAN: Jamiat Ulemma-e-Islam-F (JUIF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman led the Eid prayer in his native village, Abdulkhel, and later visited the grave of his father, former chief minister Mufti Mehmood, to offer fateha.
JUI-F district leader Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Digital Media Committee head Engineer Maulana Ziaur Rehman, Maulana Ubaidur Rehman, former federal minister Maulana Asad Mehmood, and other family members accompanied him.
The Maulana extended Eid greetings to the nation, praying for the acceptance of their worship and repeated opportunities for marking such joyous occasions.
Expressing concern for the plight of the oppressed Muslims worldwide, particularly those in Gaza facing Israeli aggression even during Ramazan, he recalled the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and said all Muslims are like one body, feeling each other’s pain.
He urged people to support the needy, as per Islamic teachings, and called for recitation of the Holy Quran for the martyrs, especially those among scholars and party leaders who lost their lives during Ramazan.
The JUIF chief advised maintaining security precautions during Eid prayers and gatherings due to the fragile law and order situation and emphasized celebrating Eid with simplicity, avoiding extravagance.
