LAHORE : A man stabbed his wife to death over a domestic dispute in the Jia Baga area of Raiwind on Sunday.
According to an Edhi spokesperson, the incident occurred following an argument between the couple. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, fled the scene after committing the crime. Local residents informed the police after discovering the crime. Upon arrival, police along with forensic experts, cordoned off the area and collected crucial evidence. Body shifted to the morgue.
Three foreigners among eight drug dealers arrested
Narcotics Cell North City Kotwali arrested eight drug dealers, including three Nigerian citizens and recovered a huge quantity of drugs from their possession.
The police recovered 30kg ice, 10kg heroin, 1kg cocaine, 2kg weed, 10,000 pills, 86kg hashish, 20kg opium. The arrested suspects included Ali Raza, Ahsan Saleem, Asif Butt, Osama Ali, Qadeer Khan, Emmanuel, Akuna and Nonso Emmanuel.
According to the DIG Investigation Lahore, the accused used to sell drugs in colleges, universities and other places in various cities of Punjab, including Lahore. In addition, the Kidnapping for Ransom Cell traced eight children who went missing from their homes from different cities and handed them over to their heirs.
Two men found dead in separate incidents
A 32-year old man was found dead on a roadside in the jurisdiction of Kahna Police on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Naseem Ahmed, a resident of Okara. Police have yet to determine the cause of his death, leaving open the possibility that it could have been due to medical complications or foul play. Police shifted the body to the morgue.
In a separate incident, body of a 50-year-old man was found near the Sadar Roundabout in the North Cantt area. Police have identified the man as a suspected drug addict. Body was removed to the morgue.
