Comprehensive strategy
There is a constant rise in brutal terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and other parts of country. This is organised warfare with a command and coordination structure, a regular supply and funding chain and sleeper cells within the country. Meanwhile, these insurgents also exploit the sense of deprivation and legitamte grievances among many in the country to draw new recruits. We need an anti-terror strategy that will cut off the supply of arms, money and recruits to the militants. While the first two can be addressed with stricter security, financial and other regulations and the clearing out of corruption and smuggling, the latter can only be curtailed by addressing the genuine grievances of people living in those areas where terror is most prevalent.
