The bullet-riddled body of a man was found inside a car near Bilawal Chowrangi in Clifton on Saturday.
The Boat Basin police said that The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Sajid, son of Sanaullah, a Keamari resident and driver for an online taxi service. The police said bloodstains were found on the front seat and inside the trunk of the car, but both of the victim’s mobile phones were present at the scene.
The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) was called to examine the site, while CCTV footage was being reviewed to trace any leads. Initial investigations suggested that Sajid might has been murdered elsewhere, and his body was later abandoned in Clifton.
His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for further examination. Authorities confirmed that his wallet and mobile phones were intact, indicating that the motive might not have been robbery.
When asked whether the killing was linked to a robbery attempt, DIG South Asad Raza clarified that this case was different from recent street crime incidents and that police were investigating multiple angles to determine the circumstances and suspects behind the murder.
Further investigations are underway.
