Simple impunity
By our correspondents
June 22, 2016
This refers to Engr Mansoor Ahmed’s letter, ‘Brutal lords’ (June 19). He writes “According to reports a labourer was tied to a tree and brutally beaten for stopping a feudal lord from teasing a young girl in Layyah”.
My request to all politicians and parties is that they should take serious action against those thinking they are above the law. Politicians will have to do this to prove that they have the welfare and safety of the public as a first priority. Otherwise, people will lose what little respect they have left for Pakistani democracy. The fact that some people actually carry out such criminal and inhuman acts indicates that they are sure that they can away with murder.
