The meagre increase in the EOBI pension since the last budget is not enough to match the unprecedented cost of living the people are currently facing.
EOBI pensioners have been demanding an increase in pension equal to the current monthly minimum wage of Rs32000. The incumbent government needs to review the suggested increase and should raise pensions to Rs32000 per month.
