ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) has taken a strong exception to the statements of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur against the party’s top leader.
The JUIF spokesman on Friday asked the PTI leadership to clarify whether criticising Maulana Fazlur Rehman by Ali Amin Gandapur was the party’s policy.
“Ali Amin Gandapur has been giving derogatory statements against Maulana Fazlur Rehman despite clear instructions from Imran Khan,” JUIF Spokesman Aslam Ghori said in a statement on Friday.
The JUIF spokesman pointed out that Ali Amin Gandapur has been conspiring to widen the gap in relations between the two parties. “Ali Amin Gandapur is Gorbachev of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf,” Aslam Ghori said.
He mentioned that such an attitude would create obstacles in the creation of a grand opposition alliance which would benefit the government and undemocratic forces.
“Whenever, an opposition alliance is about to be created, some conspirators start their conspiracies,” he said.
The JUIF spokesman also advised the PTI leadership to keep an eye on conspirators within the party saying that the grand alliance should not be taken as JUIF’s weakness. “Gandapur wants to save his government and that is why he fears an opposition alliance,” he said.
He went on to say that by insulting Ulema, the KP chief minister had shown his own low mentality.
