Arrest warrants issued against PTI MPA, others
PESHAWAR: A Special Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Arbab Muhammad Waseem Khan and six other accused in the May 9, 2023, Radio Pakistan attack case.
Judge Wali Muhammad ordered their production in the next hearing.According to the prosecution, MPA Arbab Waseem, the PTI lawmaker from PK-73 Peshawar-II, and six other individuals were accused of setting fire to the Radio Pakistan building in Peshawar during a protest on May 9, 2023.
After the incident, a case was registered against them at the East Cantt Police Station. The trial commenced after the investigation was completed. During the latest hearing, the accused, including Arbab Waseem, failed to appear in court.
