Islamabad:The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), National Vocational & Technical Training Commission and National University of Modern Languages (NUML) signed a memorandum of understanding to launch an international language training programme for secondary and higher secondary students in the federal capital.
The initiative aims to equip 10,000 students over the next five years with language skills, enhancing their opportunities for higher education abroad and boosting their career prospects. The program will offer training in eight languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, Arabic, Spanish, French and Russian.
A ceremony marking the signing was attended by Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, NUML Rector Major General Shahid Mahmood Kayani and Special Secretary of the education ministry Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani.
