KARACHI: President WAPDA Sports Board Imdad Ullah Memon has appreciated former number one squash player of the country Amir Atlas Khan for his outstanding performance as a coach of WAPDA’s squash team.
“I am pleased to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your outstanding performance as a Coach of WAPDA Squash Team throughout the recently conducted Squash events including National Games 2023 and Combaxx Roshan Khan National Team Champions 2024,” said Imdadullah in a letter of appreciation to Amir.
“Your commitment, passion and dedication towards enhancing the reputation of WAPDA Squash Team under the umbrella of WAPDA Sports Board are greatly appreciated. Your hard work, resilience and positive attitude contributed to the team’s success,” he added.
Imdadullah said he expected the squash team to touch new heights. “I look forward to another successful year ahead,” he stated. Aamir Atlas Khan led the WAPDA men’s squash team to clinch gold medals in the National Games 2023 and Combaxx Roshan Khan National Team Championship 2024.
Aamir was appointed as the head coach of the WAPDA men’s squash team in 2023 after he passed the World Squash Federation Level 2 Coaching Course. “My transition to coaching has been seamless and this success is an inspiration to aspiring squash players and coaches,” said Amir while talking to ‘The News’.
