SC denies sponsoring Harvard Law Internship programme
It was clarified Supreme Court of Pakistan does not sponsor seasonal internships for any institution
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has denied sponsoring any seasonal internship programme for students of any institution, including Harvard Law School.
In a press release Thursday, it was stated that it has come to the notice of the Chief Justice of Pakistan that certain quarters have launched the "Harvard Law School Seasonal Internship Programme," projecting it as being sponsored by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, which is untrue. It was clarified that the Supreme Court of Pakistan does not sponsor seasonal internships for any institution, including Harvard Law School, and cautioned students to report such malicious programmes to the Registrar's office.
"The Supreme Court runs a yearly internship programme conducted through a proper process and handled by a Committee of Senior Supreme Court Judges. Other than this, the Supreme Court does not sponsor or own any internship programme,” the press release added.
